Lunch with Rebecca Caroe

Lunch with Rebecca CaroeYesterday I had the pleasure of meeting Rebecca Caroe, experienced business developer and blogging enthusiast. Rebecca's blog first caught my eye when running a Salesforce.com blog search. Salesforce is the on-demand CRM solution that I have been raving about for several years -- and subsequently implemented in to the agency's marketing and business development strategy.

Our discussions focused on social media technologies and web implementation opportunities available to creative agencies (see Rebecca's recent report). To her credit, Rebecca presented a series of very good arguments, and did manage to slightly sway my way of thinking -- certainly from an internal comms perspective. Watch this space.

In the creative industry, there really are proven advantages to embracing the 'Web', together with the technologies and applications available. And my advice to any business developer is to keep up-to-date with everything that is going on, and then make informed decisions based on marketing/business development objectives. Simple but true.

Anyway, I am looking forward to seeing Rebecca again next week at her Social Media and Corporates breakfast seminar in London -- especially as she has managed to book veteran blogger and social media expert Adriana Cronin-Lukas to come and speak.
